With Halloween around the corner, we’re deep into our marathon of classic horror movies. This past weekend featured Son of Frankenstein, the 1939 Universal classic featuring Boris Karlof and Béla Luogsi. Filled with angular architecture and suggestive shadows, the set design took center stage with its Hollywood take on German Expressionism.
These handmade papercuts by German artist Reev Papercuts evoke a similar tone of spookiness, telling a complicated story in a single scene.
